Propane- and natural gas-powered vehicles offer a number of advantages over conventionally fueled autos, including lower fuel costs, longer engine life and efficiency, but more widespread adoption will take education and outreach, according to speakers at the LSU Alternative Energy Conference on Thursday.

Stimulus package provides energy-efficiency boon to Louisiana

New Orleans Is A Solar America City!!!-part of "The New Orleans Solar America City Project"

The City of New Orleans has received a two-year grant as the result of being named a 2007 Solar America City by the U.S. Department of Energy. The purpose of the New Orleans Solar America City Project is to accelerate the adoption of solar technology in New Orleans.
