Position at South Coast Solar:
Aspen grew up in Bay St. Louis, MS. She currently lives in an attic in the Faubourg Marigny of New Orleans.
Aspen first started working in sustainability by helping her alma mater work towards creating a green fund to help purchase renewable energy and promote other sustainable growth on campus. She joined with fellow students in her home state of Mississippi to organize the Mississippi Alumni and Students for Sustainability (MASS). Before joining the SCS team, she helped organize and manage several community gardens in New Orleans.
Aspen has a passion and interest in renewable energy and wants to get firsthand experience in the solar industry in order to help her region, the Southeast, become a leader in clean energy.

Hobbies and Interests:
Cooking, sailing, gardening, rabbits, folk art, and dancing in juke joints. Aspen loves food–sustainable, local, or deep-fried, and enjoys learning everything there is to know about all things edible. In her spare time, she reads cookbooks and restaurant menus.
