City Park’s new Festival Grounds has something for everyone

City Park will open a new recreational area called the Festival Grounds. The project is a part of the park’s master plan and was partly funded by a $4 million community development block grant it received after Hurricane Katrina. Once it’s completed there will be a beautiful reunion/picnic shelter, wetlands, five sports fields and for all you workout fanatics a covered outdoor gym.
