Note: See the solar sunflowers installed by South Coast Solar at the open house on Saturday, October 6th from 10 am to noon.

A new outdoor exhibit at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center in Gulfport is a creative way to teach children about clean energy. The exhibit features a solar power system built in the shape of two sunflowers.

The solar panels convert sun energy into electricity. The exhibit not only demonstrates energy efficiency examples, it can also help the museum cut down on energy costs every month.
